That really means very foreign for me when a woman still has to wash a bunch of laundry in a river. But in this Berber village in the Atlas in Marocco, nobody has a laundry machine nor is there a place with a laundromat !
They have to carry all the stuff down to the river and wash piece by piece by hand. They still use this wooden wash board and soap. To dry it, they hang it back at home on a wire or rope. I doubt that they have an ironboard. I guess they just fold it properly and wear it again.
